About Me - Beverley Pocock

I love family, and I love relationships, in fact I love being around people who make me feel happy. And the best part of this is that I can photograph it, and make those memories last forever. I believe that photography is so much more than just a photo, it’s a story that lasts a lifetime.

Weddings are particularly special to me because I love the romance and the elegance of a wedding day. I love how it brings people together and the emotions that we experience. Every detail matters, every moment matters, and I make it my priority to capture this for you.

My clients and friends describe me as someone who has the ability to make everyone feel comfortable - a key part of what I offer. You will never see me without a smile on my face and a tissue in my pocket ready to dry my eyes (I still cry at every wedding I shoot!)

From the moment you enquire about my photography services you will experience my way of working - which is to create a sense of trust and loyalty - plus we’ll have some fun along the way. I’ll be your friend as well as your wedding photographer.

So, a little more about me. I am a wife to my husband Stephen and a mum to our three children, Samuel, Holly and Emily; they are my greatest treasure. We live in Canterbury, Kent with our pet dog, Smudge. My favourite things in life are: my family, weddings, my dog, flowers and dancing (you wait until you see me on the dancefloor!)

It would be an honour to be a part of your special day and tell your love story in timeless pictures, so why not say hello and tell me all about your wedding day plans.

“As an Olympian and a former GB athlete I have been photographed countless times over the years, but I can honestly say that Bev is one of the best photographers I have had. Bev’s flair, and creativity shines through in all the pictures that she captures. Bev’s calm demeanour allows you to feel at ease and this speaks for itself in her photography.”

“I wanted some recent photos of my daughter and asked Bev to take them for me. She took time to talk about a location with us and we chose somewhere local. My daughter was quite nervous even though she had met Bev beforehand but Bev spoke to her gently, asked her what she was comfortable with and allowed her to see the photos taken, to let her indicate if there were any she was not happy with. This allowed my daughter to have some control over the shoot and build her confidence so that it was not long before she was totally at ease. As a result, we have some wonderful pictures showing both her serious and fun sides and everybody I have shared them with has commented how natural and lovely they are. I would absolutely recommend having a shoot with Bev. Her down to earth and sensitive approach was perfect for my daughter and we are thrilled with our photos.”
